Q:I live in the uk, and have 04 plate XC90 will it fit to a British model, and will it need a software update ? have sold many of these to UK, as far as I know if you have antitheft software installed you will need to remove it or simply what some of my customers from UK did was to open the changer that I send and swap the whole mechanism and putting it into your old unit and than it doenst need any software download

A: I have to say that it wont fit, you need bluetooth kit that is designed for volvo c30,

Q: I want to put an auxiliary cable in my girlfriends 2002 S60. The volvo dealer said some of the cars from that year have them and some don’t but that it should be easy to remove the cd player. Any tips for removing the stereo or an easier way to determine if there is an auxiliary port in the back without removing the stereo? Thanks in advance.
A:I have to say that 2002 volvo s60 dont have the aux input so the best way is to buy adapter and plug it in where the cd changer usually plugs in the back of the radio, it is easy to remove the radio, just remove the pen holder and than the shifter plate and than 2 screws from the ac unit and put the ac unit down and forward, after you remove the ac unit you will see 2 more screws for cd player and that’s all,

Q:I checked under the dash centre speaker and there are 2 cables (that match I guess the pop up screen) and there are 2 in the trunk near the fuse box which are a square and round connector. From your DVD navi unit, there seems to be several other connectors. Can you please guide me on what additional cables I will need to install, I assume one will be for the antenna/ receiver? and do you supply this cable to run to the parcel shelf area, also do you have the replacement front centre speaker unit (black) with grille etc where I fit the screen, if so can you advise how much. Do you have steering wheel control pod (again how much) and do you know if and where it needs to be wired (trunk DVD unit) Sorry for the multitude of questions, I purchased a Bluepower HU a couple of months ago but did not install it (it seems to be receiving too much bad publicity). I would prefer to have the Volvo factory finish anyway, hence wanting to get this right.
A: It doesnt matter if the dvd unit has few empty plugs, you only need the one for round cable that goes to the radio, the one for gps antenna, one green one for can wires and one for the screen, that’s all,

Q:hi my radio goes off and the backup sensors do not work once the radio shuts off the radio shop says i need the radio with the control module is this what you are selling ? if yes i would like to buy it and i am in toronto canada?
A:Yes it looks like your ICM is going bad, you need to replace this radio panel that is called ICM, you also need to make sure which system you have in your volvo xc90, if you have premium sound you need matrix ICM if you have high performance you need numeric one,

QHowdy! I have a ’99 S80 T6 (Gr-r-r!) and the Throttle Position Sensor has gone belly up. I’m told by the Volvo dealer that the only way to get the TPS is to get a complete Throttle Body which sounds typical for Volvo, unfortunately. I’d like to pick your brain a little and get you to help me figure out how to remedy my TB condition. The stealership says the total job can be done (by them, I guess) for about $1,000! I was thinking I could get a used TB for a reasonable cost and see what that does. I haven’t pulled the codes myself so I’m only taking the mechanics word for it. I do know that the gas pedal doesn’t make the car ‘Go’ and just raises the engine speed to 1500RPM and stays there. What do you think? Any help would be highly valuable to me.
A:Hello, It looks like you might need the throttle body, it is very common on these engines to replace it after while, you dont need to pay so much to the dealer that’s for sure, it is not very difficult job to do, if you get used ETM module all you might need it to activate it and any place which has a good scan tool can do that, I can send you ETM module it would be 150, please let me know

A: Hello, Yes it will work in 04 volvo s60 but the trim is different and the illumination is not going to work, but the radio and the changer will work fine I know couple of people installed it and than changed the ac module housing to have a 05 style trim around the radio,

Q: Hi. I have a Volvo v70 2002. it’s head unit is a uh-603 with a cassette player. My question is it has a center speaker grille in the middle of the dashboard. If I put a center speaker that you have it it, does it have wires to connect with the speaker and would it work with the head unit? Thanks and best regards,
A: Hello, if you have the hu-613 installed no the center speaker is not there, if it goes to the wire it is there and all you need to do is put the center speaker there and replace the hu-613 with hu-803 and add amplifier under the passenger seat the power wire is there, you will also need harness that go from amplifier to hu-803thank youPatrick

Q: We have a 2003 Volvo XC90. We took it to the dealer bc radio display went blank. They told us the ICM needed to be replaced. Is there a way to tell if this ICM will be compatible with our car? Is there an item number or some distinguishing number that we could match up to see if it would work? Is an ICM a plug and play device or does it need to be flash with the computer? What is your return policy if the item 1) does not work or 2) is not compatible? Is something like this difficult to replace on your own? Do you have any knowledge of the condition of the item except that it is used? Thank you for your time!
A: Yes, all you need to do is replaced with my unit but you need to make sure which display you have in there if you have premium sound than this is the correct unit if you have high performance sound you need ICM with numeric display, once it is replaced it should work right away without software download but there have been cases that it needed software download, it is easy to replace it so you dont need to pay anybody for doing it, I will provide you with step by step instructions,
