thanks.

A:Yes, used icm will work fine in your xc90 I have sold around 100 of it or even more, all I need from you is the part number that is on the back of the icm on the top of the screen, it is easy to remove it and once I know this number I will send you correct unit, and it doesn’t need any software download once the part number is matched,

A:I have to tell you that it doesn’t make sense that not having cd changer is any issue with making your ipod adapter not working, that shouldn’t make any difference, it is not simple to add changer because you also need to change the radio control panel and do software download,

Let me know which amp you have it is located in the left rear corner in the trunk you may also want to check main fuse on the amp,

A:Thank you very much, I did find a blown fuse at the amp in the trunk. I appreciate your time and advise and will put you in my favorite sellers for future purchases.

Q:My 2004 XC90 was having shifting problems in August, but the dealer could not duplicate the problem. I am not sure how it could not be duplicated, as it happened to me every time I drove it. I suspect they plugged in their analyzer into the computer and there were no messages, so they sold me a transmission flush. This week the transmission message came up and I took it in, as the transmission is covered under my extended warranty. The claim was denied because the transmission failure was the result of a pressure valve failure.

Would you be able to tell me how a pressure valve is diagnosed and if the transmission flush would have caused it? Also, do you have any transmissions for a 2004 XC90 T6?

A:I must say that volvo should replace this transmission for you as they know it very well that these models had 100% failure rate if it goes to the transmission, please go to different volvo shop where they will be willing to help you because I would never offer selling used transmission for this volvo, all used ones are junk and will go bad or are broken, it is gm transmission and engine the worst ever installed in xc90 series, I dont believe it is anybodies fault, this is very bad transmission period and they should replace it for you, please dont stop pushing them as you have warranty and make them replace it, otherwise you will have to pay from your pocket it is will cost a lot since you need brand new transmission, I wish I could help you in any way but really cant,

Q:Hi, I have the anti skidding service light on my dash. I have been told that it is the yaw rate sensor.
I have been told that this is mounted under the passenger seat(left hand drive car) is that correct?
If I fit the sensor myself do I still need to get volvo to reset the dash warning light or will that go off once the sensor is replaced.
if you could send me step by step instructions I would appreciate it, I will be taking the car to volvo to get them to confirm it is the yaw sensor then will replace myself.

A:Yes that correct, it looks like your sensor is corroded and needs to be replaced, you can do this yourself, it doesn’t need any programming, all you need is to remove the old sensor which is under the amplifier under the passenger side seat and mount new however you also need to fix the water problem, it is because of the sun roof drains which are clogged and water collect under the seat, you also might need a new plug because your old one might also be corroded,

I have a video showing how to replace this sensor, doing it yourself will save you lots of money dealer charge $1000 for the sensor and the labor,

thank you
Patrick

Q: I want to put an auxiliary cable in my girlfriends 2002 S60. The volvo dealer said some of the cars from that year have them and some don’t but that it should be easy to remove the cd player. Any tips for removing the stereo or an easier way to determine if there is an auxiliary port in the back without removing the stereo? Thanks in advance.

A:I have to say that 2002 volvo s60 dont have the aux input so the best way is to buy adapter and plug it in where the cd changer usually plugs in the back of the radio, it is easy to remove the radio, just remove the pen holder and than the shifter plate and than 2 screws from the ac unit and put the ac unit down and forward, after you remove the ac unit you will see 2 more screws for cd player and that’s all,

Q:I checked under the dash centre speaker and there are 2 cables (that match I guess the pop up screen) and there are 2 in the trunk near the fuse box which are a square and round connector. From your DVD navi unit, there seems to be several other connectors. Can you please guide me on what additional cables I will need to install, I assume one will be for the antenna/ receiver? and do you supply this cable to run to the parcel shelf area, also do you have the replacement front centre speaker unit (black) with grille etc where I fit the screen, if so can you advise how much. Do you have steering wheel control pod (again how much) and do you know if and where it needs to be wired (trunk DVD unit) Sorry for the multitude of questions, I purchased a Bluepower HU a couple of months ago but did not install it (it seems to be receiving too much bad publicity). I would prefer to have the Volvo factory finish anyway, hence wanting to get this right.

A: It doesnt matter if the dvd unit has few empty plugs, you only need the one for round cable that goes to the radio, the one for gps antenna, one green one for can wires and one for the screen, that’s all,

A:Yes it looks like your ICM is going bad, you need to replace this radio panel that is called ICM, you also need to make sure which system you have in your volvo xc90, if you have premium sound you need matrix ICM if you have high performance you need numeric one,
